Love Motorcycle Training Cancellation Policy

2. Cancellation by You

2.1 Notice Requirements

If you need to cancel or amend your course date, please notify us as soon as possible:

• Email: [email protected]
• Include: Your name, course date/time, and reason for cancellation

2.2 Payment Processing Fees

Where a refund is payable under this policy, it will be calculated after deducting any payment processing fees incurred by Love Motorcycle Training in connection with your booking (including but not limited to credit card, debit card, or online payment gateway fees). These fees are non-recoverable and cannot be refunded to us by our payment processors. No refund will include an amount for payment processing fees.

2.3 Cancellation Terms

Standard Courses

• Less than 48 hours notice: No refund or transfer available. The full course fee is forfeited.
• More than 48 hours notice: You may either:
  • Transfer to an alternative course date at no additional charge (one free transfer only), provided a specific future course date is nominated within 48 hours of the cancellation request. If no date is nominated within that window, the booking will be treated as a standard cancellation and any applicable refund processed accordingly. Any subsequent transfer of the same booking will incur a $15 transfer administration fee, payable at the time of the transfer request; or
  • Cancel and receive a refund of your course fee less the $50 administration fee and any payment processing fees (see clause 2.2); or
  • At our discretion, elect to hold your course fee as a credit on your account in the full amount paid (no $50 administration fee applies where a credit is elected in lieu of a refund), subject to the terms in clause 2.6.
• Transfers are not open-ended. Transfer requests cannot be made retrospectively after a cancellation has been processed. If no specific transfer date is nominated at the time of cancellation, the cancellation will be treated as a standard cancellation and any applicable refund or credit processed accordingly.
• No-show: No refund or transfer available. The full course fee is forfeited.

Performance Cornering Courses (Track Days)

• Special terms apply: No refund for cancellations made within 28 business days of the event
• No transfers available for track day cancellations

2.4 Weather Conditions

• No refunds will be provided if you choose not to attend due to rain or weather concerns
• Courses proceed in most weather conditions unless we determine it's unsafe

2.5 Personal Circumstances

We understand emergencies happen, but we cannot provide refunds or transfers for:

• Illness or injury
• Transport issues
• Family bereavement or crisis
• Work commitments
• Any other personal circumstances

Any cancellation within 48 hours will result in the full fee being forfeited, regardless of circumstances. The free transfer option under clause 2.3 is also unavailable where cancellation arises from personal circumstances listed in this clause.

2.6 Course Credits

Where Love Motorcycle Training agrees, at its sole discretion, to hold a course fee as a credit following cancellation, the following terms apply:

• Discretionary: A credit is not an entitlement. It may be offered at our discretion where cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the course and the customer elects not to take a refund or transfer.
• No administration fee on election: Where a customer elects to take a credit rather than a refund, the $50 administration fee is not deducted from the credit balance. The credit will be held for the full amount paid, less any payment processing fees (see clause 2.2).
• Election is final: The election to take a credit is final and irrevocable. Once a credit has been issued, it cannot subsequently be converted to a cash refund under any circumstances. If a refund is preferred, that option must be elected at the time of cancellation, in which case the standard $50 administration fee and payment processing fees will apply.
• Expiry: Credits expire 6 months from the date of cancellation. Any unused credit balance is forfeited in full upon expiry. No refund, extension, or reinstatement will be provided after the expiry date.
• Non-transferable: Credits are held in the name of the original registered customer only. They cannot be transferred, assigned, gifted, or applied to a booking made by another person.
• No cash value: Credits have no cash or monetary value and may only be redeemed against a future Love Motorcycle Training course booking.
• Not a gift voucher: A course credit is not a gift voucher or stored value product. It does not attract the protections applicable to gift cards or vouchers under New Zealand consumer legislation.
• Single use: Credits must be applied in full at the time of rebooking and cannot be partially redeemed or carried over to a subsequent booking.

8. Disputes and Complaints

If you're unsatisfied with a cancellation decision:
