Love Motorcycle Training Cancellation Policy

LoveMoto is committed to providing our clients with very high-quality training and exemplary customer service and our courses are in high demand.

Please understand that if someone cancels without providing us with sufficient notice, this almost certainly prevents someone else from being able to attend at short notice.

If for any reason you need to cancel or amend your course date, please notify us as soon as practicable, via email at info@lovemoto.co.nz , or phone call to 03 974 3136 with your name, appointment time and date stating the reason for your cancellation.

Payment:

After booking, you will be provided with a confirmation email which shows the date, time and location of your course.

  • Payment must be received within 24 hours of booking.

  • If payment is not received in accordance with the above, then LoveMoto reserve the right to cancel the booking and offer it to another person.

MOTORCYCLE TRAINING TERMS

If You Cancel:

  • No refund will be provided if cancellations are received less than 48 hours' notice, or if you simply fail to turn up for your course.

  • More than 48 hours' notice: Option to transfer to alternative date.(excluding track days & AA Defensive Driving Courses )

  • No refund will be provided if you decide not to attend because it might rain.

  • We are not responsible for your non-attendance or late arrival regardless of the situation which may include, but are not limited to illness, injury, transport, family bereavement or crisis.  Any cancellation or non-payment within the 48 hour period, will result in the full-fee being payable.

  • Please note: Our cancellation policy is different for our Performance Cornering Course & AA Defesnive Driving Courses. Not refund is payable for cancellations made within 28 business days of the event.

If You Attend, but:

You will forfeit your course fee if you do arrive for training but are unable to complete it because:

  • You attend a course and arrive more than 5 minutes after the commencement time, regardless of reason.

  • You attend the BHSC, and require riding tuition over and above the time available to pass the assessment.

  • You leave the training course before the end.

  • You did not bring the required documents.

  • Your vehicle is not legally roadworthy.

  • Your motorcycle is not appropriate or otherwise legal for the Motorcycle Licence you hold.

  • You are suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • You are not wearing adequate protective clothing and gear.

If We Cancel:

Should LoveMoto have to cancel your course for any reason, we will endeavour to reschedule your booking to a mutually suitable date; if this is not practicable, then we will offer a full refund.

By booking your appointment, you are confirming that you understand and agree to this cancellation policy.

AA DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE TERMS 

By booking your Defensive Driving Course, you are confirming that you understand and agree to this cancellation policy

  1. Courses are available to all those on a learner, restricted or full Licence (Class 1).

  2. Students on their learner licence, will need to have enough driving experience and confidence to drive safely for an hour during the practical drive assessment. Courses are only presented in English.

  3. Each of the four classroom sessions must be attended in order from session 1 to session 4. No sessions can be missed.

  4. Arrive in the classroom sessions at least 10 minutes prior to the start time, bring your Driver Licence to confirm your identity, and a pen. If you arrive late the tutor may not allow you to enter the class.

  5. Between classroom sessions there are some preparation tasks to be completed. These must be completed before the start of the next session or you will not be allowed to start that session. In which case you will be able to transfer to another course for $100.

  6. No refunds will be given from 7 clear business days before the start of your course.

  7. The online portion (eDrive) of the course works best on a desktop or laptop computer. It must be completed prior to the in-car drive.

  8. The 1-hour practical drive MUST be completed within 60 days of completing the fourth classroom session.

  9. The drive is completed in your own vehicle and you must ensure that your vehicle is road legal with a valid registration and WOF and be of a WOF standard at time of lesson, for example the brake light and indicators must operate. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a booking cancellation. You will be required to re-book within the original 60 day period and pay a re-booking fee of $100.

  10. While using your personal vehicle for the practical drive, insurance is your own responsibility.

  11. For your practical drive you must bring your valid licence, corrective eye wear (if required as a condition on your licence) and appropriate closed shoes. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in a booking cancellation. You will be required to re-book within the original 60 day period and pay a re-booking fee of $100.

  12. A support person or translator has the option to attend the drive to support you. The support person must not provide input into the practical driving session and should avoid speaking unless absolutely necessary.

  13. You may not have any other passengers (e.g. children or infants) in the car as they may distract you from driving.

  14. At the time of booking, you have agreed to make yourself available on the days published for the practical drive. If you are not available, you will be offered 1 further session only after the next course is scheduled for the practical drive (usually the month after). Your session is allocated to you at the end of session 4 with the instructor.

  15. The 60 day period for practical drive completion can only be extended by NZ Transport Agency. LoveMoto (as authorised providers for AA Driver Training) arenot authorized to extend the 60 day period without approval from NZTA. If you cannot complete the practical drive within the 60 day period, you will need to re-sit a full course and incur the full course booking fee.

  16. You cannot transfer between the course of a LoveMoto tutor and either an AA tutor or another independent tutor. All course transfers must be done through the original booking method.

  17. Vouchers cannot be exchanged in part or full for cash. They must be used before their expiry date.

  18. .All offers are subject to change.

  19. All course bookings are customer specific and are non-transferable.

  20. Any cancellations or changes to your course must be made at least 7 clear business days prior to the commencement of your booking.

  21. If you cancel your course within clear 7 business days of your course date, your booking will be non-refundable.

  22. Any cancellations or changes to your practical drive booking must be made to info@lovemoto.nz at least 7 clear business days prior to the commencement of the booking. Contact with your individual tutor, will not be considerd a cancellation or change request.

  23. If you cancel more than 7 clear business days prior to the commencement of your practical drive booking, you will be offered 1 further practical drive session (which may be the following month), when the next DDC practical session are scheduled, without incurring an additional cost to re-book.

  24. Any cancellation or changes to the confirmed time, date and/or agreed location within 7 clear business days prior to the commencement of your booking for the practical drive, will require a new booking with a re-booking fee of $100.

  25. If you fail to arrive for your practical drive booking, or are more than 10 minutes late, you will forfeit the booking. You will be required to re-book and pay a booking fee of $100.

  26. LoveMoto Instructors reserve the right to terminate the practical drive if at any time during the booking:

  • You engage in any behaviour that your instructor determines is reckless; or

  • You fail to comply with reasonable instructions or directions from the instructor; or

  • Your instructor has assessed your driving skills/competence and deemed you to be unfit/unsafe to drive; or

  • You show any signs of impairment that will impact your ability to drive safely. If your practical drive is terminated for any of the above reasons, you will need to re-book and pay a booking fee.

  1. To complete the practical drive you must drive at a level of competence similar to that of a licence test. If you drive in a way that would cause an immediate fail error or more than 2 critical errors your drive will not be deemed successful and completion certificate withheld. To complete the course you will be required to re-book the practical drive and pay a booking fee of $100.

  2. Workbooks are the responsibility of the student to fill in during class and keep safe. They must be presented to the instructor at the practical Drive. If books are lost they can be replaced at a cost of $100 and any missing work must be brought up to date before the practical drive can take place.Course Certificates:

  3. Please ensure you give us the correct information to enter on your completion certificate (full legal name). If a certificate needs to be replaced because of incorrect information supplied or due to being lost or misplaced by the student there will be a $100 replacement charge. This covers the cost of the replacement certificate and admin fees.
